Farmer Apprenticeships Available in Atlantic Canada!

Are you 18 years old or older?
Do you have an interest in farming?

SOIL (Stewards of Irreplaceable Land) and ACORN (Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network) have teamed up to provide a farmer apprenticeship program in Atlantic Canada.

For a small membership fee ($30), you can register with us and have us help you find a farm where you can live, work and learn in the company of experienced farmers dedicated to sustainable practices. In order to maximize the benefit for both you and the farmer, we ask that you are willing to commit a minimum of 8 weeks to this apprenticeship.

Are you a farmer looking for committed apprentices?

This program is also for you. Your membership fee gets your farm wider exposure on our websites, as well as an apprenticeship handbook and our help with matching apprentices to your farm.

To find out more about farms offering apprenticeships and to start the application process, see www.soilapprenticeships.org

Applications are received year round, though potential apprentices will have the best chance of finding a placement if your application is received between October and April.

For more information call 1.866.32.ACORN (22676) or email Nicole Arsenault (Maritimes coordinator) at nicole@acornorganic.org
